Music Production & Audio Engineering Diploma
Jade is a highly talented vocalist at the Midi School and current Audio Engineering student, who has been making big waves during her time on the Music Production module producing downtempo electronica.
Music Production & Audio Engineering Diploma Luke Burras excelled on the Music Production and Audio Engineering Diploma here at the Midi School, producing a variety of techno, hip hop through to chillout throughout his time here.
Manchester Midi School gave me a good understanding of the ins and outs of the music industry, from creating my own sounds, song composition, right through to getting my music out there and heard. After leaving the Midi School in 2009, I aimed my efforts in producing music of my own style (Ambient/Downtempo/Chill) and entering various competitions to get noticed. After a couple of months one of my tracks made it to the final 10 of the “G-Technology Driven Creativity” Competition and was displayed at the Brick Lane Gallery in London for 7 days. Since then I have entered another competition called “Soundtrax” hosted by Muzu. This gives artists the chance to get their music onto the soundtrack for the upcoming film Relative Desire directed by Micheal Baig Clifford. The track I entered made it into the top 50. The top 50 will be judged by editors/producers from the film and a final 10 will be selected to go in the official soundtrack. Recently I have also been signed to “Lisnmusic”, a record and licensing label.
Launching in 2011, Ric Gresty & Pete Hoyle smashed the charts with Debut Nervous Kid Tracks. ‘Disco Strings’ hit high in the charts on Beatport and made the top 50 in the House charts on Traxsource. Setting the tone in 2012, Roman Podolian joined the band and Nervous kid had 8 tracks signed in the first 8 days! Hitting up labels Like Pornostar, Mjuzieek ReelHouse and Disco Bomb the guys were delighted with the offers that came in! 2012 is looking awsome for NK! Between the guys they have about 25 years of dj experience playing around the world, from Ibiza to all over the UK. Modern House music is where the guys are hitting the market! Huge vocals, classic Piano Rhyths and ‘Dirty’ Bass lines are what make their Tracks Rock! Influences include Raul Rincon, Ian Carey, Warren Clarke, Freemasons, Dirty Freek and Crazibiza. You may find Nervous Kid tracks on the following labels and sites: Discobomb Records, Dirty Monkey Recordings, Reelhouse, Mjuzieek, Hed Kandi, Pornostar, Flawless and Muzik Xpress.
Midi school and its staff for providing me with the knowledge and guidance to make that goal a reality, I’m finally making music and having an absolute blast doing it… thats all I ever could have wished for.

Music Production Diploma
During my time, which I spent doing the Music Production Diploma, it was a real eye opener being taught under Christophe. Otherwise being in an environment where your grouped with other musical and unique individuals; it really does have an impact to your growth as you learn from each other as much as you learn from your teacher.
Being in the group I was part of; it was a real special class and there was so much co-operation and sharing of ideas that it never really felt like you were going to “school”. Rather it was a place where you could go to continually develop and cultivate your talents and ideas if you had them. Otherwise if you weren’t sure about what you wanted to do and came in with a blank template, concerning pursuing a career in music or at least audio related, they would show you all the possible avenues/routes to go down and really help you make some informed and very crucial decisions.”
