All the main functionality of the software is covered, including how to create, sequence and mixdown musical ideas using the high quality VST instruments, effects and tools that Cubase has to offer.

Meet your tutor
Alasdair is Head Technician, Reason & Cubase tutor at the Manchester Midi School, and you’ll normally find him residing amongst the high-tech toys in the studios. Working closely with lecturers to deliver the course content, he is the go-to guy outside of lessons for students who need help with any of the techniques taught on the courses.
Al’s musical exploits began by playing jazz piano and drums, and became more focused on music technology after DJing Jungle and Drum and Bass in his birthplace, Oxford. Since moving to the musical mecca of Manchester in 2007 he studied on the 12 Month Diploma and after leaving with top marks he joined the management team of a city centre venue, and was a integral part of running club nights and events. As well as gaining an important insight into what life is like behind the scenes in this industry, this enabled him fund the start up of ethical recording and production company Cause2Create Audio. Through his work, many local artists have been able to record anything from a demo to full albums in an organic and music-focused environment.
