Tony Rigg is the former Operations Director of Dance Music giant Ministry of Sound / Hed Kandi. Having spent his twenty year long career monetising music he is well versed in its social consumption.
He has been responsible for the delivery of many entertainment experiences and events and, as an executive for a number of the UK’s market leading leisure operators, he has overseen the management of more than 80 music venues nationwide.
In addition to his experience in senior management positions Tony is also a studio owner, an artist, and a producer, having had tracks featured on chart topping compilation albums (Clubland - AATW - Universal). Tony presently spends his time working on his latest musical enterprise, a new type of record label that he calls ‘the laboratory project’, which boasts a growing stable of original artists.
As well as consulting for a number of established music brands, and producing / developing artists, Tony is also collaborating on a Music related Masters Degree course and conducting PhD research into the relationships and interdependencies between musical artists, consumers and the music business.
