Online Ableton Courses

Our 12 week online Ableton courses have 3 main aims:

- To give the student a full working knowledge of Ableton Live

- To equip the student with general transferable production skills

- To learn all elements of the software including advanced functions

Over 1000 minutes of video tuition.

All our Online Ableton Courses are taken from a beginner level upwards, no prior knowledge of music production, Ableton Live, or even music theory is required.

The course builds over 12 weeks covering the basics first, then move on to intermediate and advanced level techniques during the latter part.

Our online Ableton courses are aimed at people who want to get making music as quickly as possible: the course is designed to get students making noise first, then asks questions later about the more complex aspects of production and performance.

There will be the opportunity to obtain weekly video feedback on the tasks that we ask you to submit at various stages of the course.

When you enrol on one of our Online Courses, you will become part of a class of students that will progress through the course at the same pace. You will create yourself a personalised profile

During our online Ableton courses, students can share knowledge and tips with each other through our online chat facility, and a dedicated forum.

You will interact with your tutor, who will be online to chat and answer any questions at various times during the week.

Should you miss these sessions, there will be an inbox you can send any questions to which will be regularly checked throughout the week.

Course Outline

How are the online Ableton courses delivered?

They are principally video based not boring screen captures like most other online Ableton courses and delivered by our official Ableton tutor who has written all the online Ableton courses.

Each video introduces techniques to practice, and with each week comes a set of leaning outcomes/objectives to check off, and tasks to complete, before moving on to the next week’s material. Subsequent weeks will build on the knowledge gained from previous weeks.

How much time should I spend on the course?

Each week of the online Ableton course, there will be approximately 1 1/2 hours of video tutorials to watch. How much time you spend practicing the techniques we show you is up to you, however we would recommend a minimum of 2 hours practice per week on top of the 1 1/2 hours of tutorial time.

You are free to work at your own pace and lessons stay unlocked. The more time you spend above and beyond this, the more you will get from the courses, and the more confident you will be using Ableton Live.

Why choose the MIDI School for your online Ableton courses?

Manchester MIDI School has been a leading provider of cutting edge tuition, production courses and DJing since 1997 - few training providers are as established.

Our courses are not just simple ableton live tutorial's , with M.M.S you will be able to learn all elements of the software from scratch.

We are a Certified Training Centre: our course tutor travelled to Ableton HQ, Berlin, to take part in one of the first official certification sessions back in 2008.
