Basic knowledge of Sound and its attributes, audio file formats, sampling rate and digital conversion, audio dynamic range.
Audio Interfaces
What they provide, look into students needs considering their requirements and budgets as well as latest products on the market.

Time Stretching
What is timestreching, use and application correctively and creatively in all available software, how to create Rex files and their use in music production.
Effects
Reverb, delay, modulation effects, vocoding, distortion, autotune, filters, how to create a multi-effect as well as the use of effects in mixing situation, mastering. What is an auxilaury/insert and their use in both software and hardware.
Equalisation

Compression

Subjects Part 3
Noise Gates
What is a noise gate? Use in both corrective and creative manner, from production using techniques as side-chain gating to mixing use in live recording situation.
Digital/Analogue Mixing consoles
Operation and signal flow, sound quality and versatility of different studio set-ups, built-in and external audio interfaces and their audio formats, connections and wiring, looms, jack and xlr leads, balanced and unbalanced as well as digital connections.
Audio Recording
Recording,editing and processing audio from an live source into an audio sequencer, operating levels and techniques involved in vocals recording. Use of an Audio Editing stand alone package.Foldback and monitoring audio through headphones.
Microphones
Look into general knowledge of microphones, different types, polar patterns and specifically into vocal microphones, looking into current trade as well as vintage/classic microphone.
Sampling

Synthesis

Critical Listening
Using a classic song we will dissect, discuss and understand the processes involved into production,mixing and mastering a piece of music.
Mixing Down
Several examples of music will be analysed and mixed using different types of production techniques, using stems and a full arrangement. Look into the Mixing environment involving acoustic treatment as well as monitoring and referencing.
Remix
A task which involves the writing and production of a remix using an acapella.
Mastering
What is Mastering? Look into the different processes involved in mastering on a computer music system as well as discussing equipment used in Pro Mastering Studios.
