Module 1
The 9 month Music Construction and Production Diploma Module is an extremely practical course designed for those wanting to write and produce music of a professional standard. The focus of this module is the creation and production of your own material. You will master every element of the pro-studio with guidance available at all times to ensure you achieve the sound you are looking for.
Module 2
The 3 month Commercial Sound Engineering Diploma Module teaches you the skills necessary for working in a commercial studio. The Audio Engineering course focuses on recording/microphone techniques, mixdown techniques and producing other peoples music. This is a fully practical course, with regular opportunities to record a full band in class, and hence gives you the chance to network with other local musicians.
During the 12 month Audio Engineering and Music Production Course, you will progress through each of the School’s studios. Learning the creative operation of several studios produces a diverse set of skills: the combination of cutting edge computer-based DAW recording with traditional hardware instruments and processors. Practical time can be used to complete MMS assignments, or to work on your own music, compositions and tracks. There is unlimited practical time available in our studios and Apple Mac-based MIDI lab.

Apple, who produce not only the industry standard Logic Pro music sequencing software, but also all the high-end computer hardware present in all MMS studios.
Ableton, who produce the innovative music production and performance software, Live.
Steinberg, manufacturers of Cubase, the industry standard sequencing software available for Mac or PC.
Unlike other audio engineering courses, no previous knowledge of MIDI or recording studios is assumed or required.
